Founded in October 2001 and located in the Technopôle of Archamps, Savoie, France, CERMA is a company specialized in the design and manufacture of minimally invasive and innovative medical devices for Targeted Multi Therapy (TMT). The device is fitted with micro-needles and/or perforated micro-tubes permits the injection of physical, chemical and radiolabelled active principles directly into a defined anatomical zone, with the same platform. It can be implanted permanently or temporarily thus providing a multi-therapy capability for treating cancers via thermoablation by the delivery of active agents directly into the lesion (chemotherapy,brachytherapy, antibiotherapy).

TMT is the proprietary of CERMA, and is protected by 4 international patents.

Led by a highly motivated dynamic team dedicated to upholding ISO standards, CERMA is rapidly growing.

The initial goal of CERMA was to develop a medical device for the treatment of hepatic tumours by thermonecrosis. Following user demand (by vascular surgeons and phlebologists), and with a minor adaptation of the thermonecrosis device, TMT is currently utilized to treat varicose veins. This technology (SVS) for Steam Vein Sclerosis obtained CE approval in November 2008 and will be available commercially in the coming months.
